## Why the program exists

### Solo founding is different.

We've built the place for it.

Most people think solo founding is just co-founding minus a co-founder. They're wrong.

Solo founders move faster, keep more ownership, and build differently. But every accelerator, every playbook, and almost every piece of advice still assumes you have a team from day one.

The best companies are one of one. They don't fit a playbook. We're building for them.

The Solo Founders Program is three months building alongside other solo founders in San Francisco. Founders work with Julian every week, share an office with other solo founders who understand what they are building, and get a $100K investment on founder-friendly terms. Founders who want the full immersion can live upstairs.

## What the program includes

### A cohort of solo founders

All building full-time, all at a similar stage. You'll know each other's companies as well as your own.

### $100K investment

Founder-friendly terms (MFN uncapped SAFE). 2.5% equity to participate. Designed so you don't have to choose between SFP and a pre-seed round or another accelerator.

### Weekly 1:1s with Julian

I'm Julian. I co-founded On Deck/ODF, where we've helped thousands of people start companies worth >$10B across 27 cohorts. I started SFP after working closely with a handful of solo founders and realizing everyone else was trying to box them into the "startup factory". I'm excited to sit down (or go for a walk) with you every week one-on-one and work through what matters most.

### Office in San Francisco

Open around the clock. Reserved desk with dual monitors and a Mac mini. The best moments happen when a random comment turns into a meaningful two-hour hallway conversation.

### Kickoff retreat

Two nights outside the city in nature with your cohort and alumni.

### Dinners and office hours

Meet experienced founders and operators who will support you from fundraising to sales.

### Housing (optional)

Private bedroom above the office, $1,500/month. Already have a place in SF? Same program either way.

### $800K+ in perks

AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, and more.

### The community

The program is three months. The community keeps going. We've run group office hours every week since the first cohort.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I have to move to San Francisco?

Yes — the program is fully in-person. No remote option. You should plan to be in SF for the full three months starting September 10, 2026. We encourage you to leave SF to speak with customers, though. Many alumni have travelled all over the world to close customers during SFP. Whatever it takes!

### How much does it cost?

2.5% equity. Your first $100K comes on founder-friendly terms (uncapped MFN SAFE) designed to work alongside other funding, not compete with it. There's no program fee — you're getting paid to be here, not the other way around.

### Do I need to live at the office?

No. Housing is optional. We offer private bedrooms above the office for $1,500/month, but plenty of founders already have their own housing in SF. Same program either way.

### Can I apply if I've already raised funding or gone through another accelerator?

Yes. Some founders join after raising or completing another program. Others are pre-funding. SFP is designed to layer on top of whatever path you're already taking, not force you to choose between us and your next round.

### Who is SFP for?

Solo founders building technology companies. You should be full-time on your company (or ready to go full-time). We're stage-agnostic — from pre-launch to post-revenue — but you need to be building something real.

### What if I pivot during the program?

That's fine. Some of the best outcomes started as pivots. The program supports you, not just your current idea.

### What about visas?

We can't sponsor visas, but we work with founders on various visa types. We've successfully helped many founders who were told by others that their visa situation was hopeless. Don't let that stop you from applying. If you have questions about your specific situation, apply and we'll discuss during the interview.

### What happens after the three months?

There's no real graduation day. You stay part of the Solo Founders community with continued office hours, 1:1s with Julian, alumni events, and the growing network around the program.
